Start the New Year right by taking the first step to changing lives. Literacy Council 101 will be offered on Monday, January 25th 2010, 6-8pm, at 105-A East Jefferson Street, Monroe 28112. This informative session will provide valuable insight into the work of the council, including an overview to tutoring and the commitment required to volunteer as an adult literacy tutor. after completing the 101 session, you will be eligible to continue your training on Friday, January 29th, from 6 – 9pm and Saturday, January 30th, from 9am – 4pm. all sessions are required, and space is limited.
