On Monday 12/14/09, a very cute little girl named Kristin Roach came into the Animal Shelter with lots of donations.  It was her 8th birthday and instead of getting presents for herself, she asked all her friends and family to bring in donations for the Union County Animal Shelter.  She came into the shelter on her birthday with her mom to bring us the donations.  This was an incredibly selfless act. As you can see in the pictures she just loves puppies.

The Union County Animal shelter is always looking for donations. If you would like to make a monetary donation, you can make checks out to “Friends of The Union County Animal Shelter” Post Office Box 322 – Wingate, NC 28174 (704) 233-1707  Other donations can be taken to the Animal shelter 3340 Presson Rd. Monroe, North Carolina 28112 Phone: 704-283-2308 Fax: 704-292-7805.  We take cat toys, dog toys, cat & kitten food or treats, dog and puppy food or treats, collars, leashes or whatever people are willing to give or donate.
